Position Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director for Operations and Facilities, Building Supervisors are responsible for the operation of the entire facility in the absence of professional staff. The Building Supervisor must fulfill management, administrative and other general responsibilities to meet the performance expectations for this position.

Key Duties:

1. Management Responsibilities

a . Supervise, manage and provide support to all the center’s student staff. Supervise student staff in all areas of Frist Campus Center.
b. Assist in the recruitment and selection process for new Management Team members.

2. Administrative Responsibilities

a. Open and close the Frist Campus Center in a timely fashion.
b. Document and report all maintenance, safety and staff problems to the Associate Director for Operations and Facilities.
c. Record all pertinent events and situations occurring while on shift in a detailed log. Provide enough factual data to enable professional staff to follow up the next working day.
d. Tour the facility on a continual basis to count the numbers of patrons in the facility and document problems encountered in the Building Supervisor log.
e. Upon arrival to the student center, thoroughly review the programs and meetings scheduled for the day and ask for clarification when necessary.
f. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of House Crew setup. Perform routine audits to ensure appropriate set-up details are provided for the client.
g. Maintain control of all student center keys. Monitor the sign-in/out and return of keys by staff.
h. Understand and be able to use all student center equipment including MPR sound system.
I. Responsible for all cash handling procedures while on duty including, counting the safe upon arrival and before closing, rectifying cash shortages and monitoring all ticket sale deposits.
j. Responsible for scheduling in accordance with building events and other shifts as assigned.

3. Other Responsibilities

a . Develop a sense of pride, professionalism, cooperation and initiative in your position.
b. Effectively analyze and respond to conflicts and problems, utilizing strong communication and delegation skills.
c. Understand and provide quality customer service to all patrons of the Frist Campus Center.
d. Participate in all Management Team meetings and other in-service opportunities.
e. Wear provided Frist Campus Center staff clothing for each shift.

Qualifications: The position of Building Supervisor is multi-faceted. To be able to achieve a high degree of effectiveness in this position, the following areas are important:

a. Must be a full-time matriculated student in good academic standing.
b. Must be available to work at least two (2) semesters with reviews after each semester.
c. Must attend mandatory fall training.

smooth and consistent daily operations of the Welcome Desk in a helpful, professional, and customer oriented manner.

Description

  • Actively greet and assist individuals entering the Frist Campus Center.
  • Provide quality customer service, respond to questions and provide information regarding the Frist Campus Center, Orange Key Campus Tours and Princeton University.
  • Operate computer and assist in opening and closing of Frist Campus Center.
  • Must be knowledgeable about Princeton University, willing to learn more and attend required training sessions and Welcome Desk staff meetings.

Qualifications/Skills

1. Must be available to work flexible hours including late nights, early mornings and weekends.
2. Must possess strong communication skills.
3. Experience with PC or Mac computers.
4. Ability to work in professional, client-centered, quality service environment.
5. Skills strongly preferred include public relations experience and the ability to make decisions in stressful and challenging situations.

Princeton University Services seeks a part time Ticket Office Associate for both the Frist Campus Center ticket office and the Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall ticket office. With a strong emphasis on customer service, the Ticket Office Associate is responsible for both advance and night of ticket sales which may be generated by: telephone, walk up, internet or mail orders. The tickets sold pertain to various performances or events at many different venues across the campus.

Requirements: reliable, strong customer service skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of basic computer skills, accountability when working with cash and credit cards, ability to balance out after each shift and work well under stress. Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

General Functions:
To act under the general direction of the Frist Campus Center Technical Manager. To perform the timely and accurate set up for and provide technical assistance to groups or individuals using the performance spaces at the Frist Campus Center, with primary focus on the theater and multipurpose room.

Description

  • Assist with the load-in/load-out and runs events programming in the Frist Film/Performance Theatre. Due to the nature of the diverse type of events programmed, the Production Assistant may be assigned one or more tasks per event.
  • Duties are assigned per event and may include:
  • Participation in electrics hang and focus calls.
  • Operation of lighting control console.
  • Maintenance of theatrical lighting instruments.
  • Setup and operation of sound playback/recording equipment.
  • Setup and operation of wireless and hardwired microphones and communication devices.
  • Operation and maintenance of 16mm/35mm film projection equipment.
  • Operation of audiovisual and sound equipment in Multipurpose Room.
  • Assisting Technical Manager during event changeovers.
  • Ensures that all equipment is in a fully operational condition at all times and reports any problems to the Technical Manager or the Night/Weekend managers.
  • Maintains the equipment storage areas in the theater and multipurpose room in a neat, orderly, safe and secure manner, returning all equipment to the appropriate area when not in use.
  • Alerts Technical Manager as to the need to order/replace specific equipment or supplies.
  • Assist in the end of semester inventory, repair and maintenance of Frist Film/Performance Theatre furnishings, equipment and storage areas
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Prepare personal time sheet upon signing in a the beginning and out at the end of each shift, and submit them in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meeting with Technical Manager to review employee and departmental performance.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled workshops ad in-service training opportunities.
  • Perform all other related duties a assigned by the Technical Manager or the Assistant Director for Operations and Facilities as needed.
  • Report to work in a neat orderly fashion, on a timely basis and with proper Campus Center attire.

General Functions
To act under the direction of the Frist Campus Center Associate Director for Programs to assist in planning and implementing diverse programs within the Frist Center that compliment and supplement student programming and foster a sense of community.

Description
Tasks associated with planning and implementing events including but not limited to the following:

  • Assist with correspondence to student organizations, speakers/performers, University community, etc.
  • Be present to assist with smooth and efficient running of late night and other programming activities.
  • Assist with development and publicizing of Frist Campus Center programs.
  • Maintain helpful, professional, customer centered relationships with student groups as well as members of the University and wider community.
  • Provide assistance to Frist Campus Center Administration, House Crew, Building Supervisor, and/or Night Managers as necessary.
  • Actively greet and assist speakers/performers, student organizations, and members of the public at all functions.
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Report problems or unusual occurrences with programs to the Associate Director for Programs.
