FUSION Officers
Matthew Halgren '09: Co-President (email)
Matthew is a Religion major from sunny La Mesa, California. He loves talking about the sciences and the humanities, and one of his favorite things to ponder is the way in which an understanding of Darwinian evolution affects our concept of the human being's place in nature. When not busy cajoling professors into participating in FUSION events, he enjoys jogging on the toepath, playing Whist, speaking Spanish and Chinese, helping international grad students and eating club workers with their English, singing showtunes, going to the Bent Spoon, and giving Orange Key tours. He would like to thank Julie Andrews and Jane Austen for making the world a better place.
Lisa Glukhovsky '09: Co-President (email)
Lisa is a psychology major who loves being a part of FUSION because she has always been fascinated by the intersections of science and humanities, particularly in neuroscience, bioethics, and the history of scientific advancement. She is especially interested in the problem of consciousness, and how simple neuronal firings allow humans to create and appreciate phenomena such as language, music, and art. Her varied interests range from molecular biology to linguistics and music. Lisa enjoys taking photos for the Daily Princetonian and has written for Innovation Magazine. Outside of school, she loves watching movies and theater, exploring cities, and learning foreign languages.
