Our library is scanning paper maps and aerial photographs and making them accessible through our Digital Map and Geographic Data site. All the paper maps were scanned at 400 dpi with 256 colors; aerial photographs were scanned at 800 dpi. The files were saved in a non-compressed TIFF file format for archival purposes. Later the TIFF images were compressed into JPEG2000 file with 10:1 compression ratio for online access. Some of the scanned maps are listed below:
