PHS is a student organization involved in celebrating, understanding, and discussing the various aspects of the Hindu tradition. Our meetings and activities are open to anyone interested in Hinduism. For the first time in Princeton history, the Festival of Lights, will be observed in the heart of the university's shared sacred space. Please join us for a celebration featuring devotional music, sacred readings, classical Indian dance, and a traditional Hindu worship service. Performances by special guest artists As Kindred Spirits and the Kala Shri Dance Academy. All are welcome, and admission is free. A light reception of Indian hors d'oeuvres and sweets will precede the service, at 7:30pm in the Chapel Basement. Sponsored by the ORL Hindu Life Program
Sunday, Nov 9 ASAP Diwali Banquet
Carl A. Fields Center, 7pm
The Association for South Asians at Princeton (ASAP) recreates the lighter side of an indian Diwali party with the ASAP Diwali Banquet. This festive gathering will include events like antakshari (singing contests) and rangoli (traditional Indian art). There will be music and dance, and the banquet will end with a friendly card game or two. A vegetarian Indian dinner will be served. Organized by the Association for South Asians at Princeton. Sponsered by the Graduate Student Government, Davis International Center, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS)
