I am a lecturer at Princeton University and also a post-doctoral fellow working jointly with Michael Shelley at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Howard Stone at Princeton University. I received my B.S. degree with Highest Honors in Aerospace Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2006. Subsequently, I joined the State University of New York at Buffalo where I earned my M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009. I then moved to the Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained my Ph.D. also in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. My research interests include fluid complex-structure interactions, hydrodynamics of soft and active matter, small-scale fluid mechanics, and biomimetic design.
