2008 Lee Shiu Summer Programme

The 2008 Lee Shiu Summer Programme, “China Rising: In Pursuit of One World One Dream,“ took place from July 6, 2008 to Aug 6, 2008 and consisted of three sessions (Beijing, Singapore, Hong Kong). The Programme was positioned to be a comparative study, examining the cases of Singapore and Hong Kong for possible application to a developing China (pg 2-3; programme booklet).

Although the Programme was organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the sessions in Beijing and Singapore were handled by Tsinghua University and the National University of Singapore, respectively.

Sessions

Beijing

The session in Beijing provided an understanding of China's perspective on the implementation of education and the rule of law.
