English Conversation Groups

Tuesday, Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Murray Dodge East, West Rooms

The Group English Conversation Program is co-sponsored by the Friends of Davis International Center and offers international students, visiting scholars and their spouses the opportunity to practice English conversation and learn about American culture in a group setting. This is a great place to make new friends, socialize, and improve your English usage skills. No registration is required and you may join this program at any time during the year! Questions? Informal English Class

Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Murray Dodge West Room (ends on May 11, 2009)

Monday, Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Murray Dodge West Room (starts on June 4, 2009; ends on July 30, 2009)

This program is open to anyone affiliated with Princeton University and helps participants on English usage in an informal class setting. The classes are offered twice during the week by volunteer instructor, Brian Zack from the Friends of Davis International Center. They include instruction on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, idioms, and reading. Participants should be at the intermediate skill level or above. No registration is needed - just come! It is OK to arrive late and/or leave early! And no homework is required! Please e-mail questions to Brian at bgzack@gmail.com.

‘Go’ Games

Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. at 243 Frist Campus Center

Come play the world’s oldest board game from Asia with faculty and students. You, too, can learn the strategies and secrets that make the game so intriguing. For information, e-mail Rick Mott at rickmott@alumni.princeton.edu.

Chinese Lunch

Thursday, Noon to 1 p.m. at Murray Dodge Basement
