The Scholar's Net
The Scholar's Net is an investigation of the relevant WWW resources for higher education. The on-going project is exploring:
- Methods for identifying and sharing relevant web sites;
- The depth and breadth of relevant resources;
- The extent to which they are ephemeral: How often do they change, disappear, and reappear?
- The importance of these resources to scholarship and teaching.
Many of the following lists are briefly annotated compendiums. Nearly all begin with a reference desk and contain a list of electronic journals and publications appropriate to each discipline. Five of the lists, African Studies, Economics, Geology, Philosophy, and Psychology were designed as hierarchical bookmark files and are marked with a [B]. You can add these directly to your bookmarks by saving the source as an .html file and then importing them from with Netscape's "View Bookmarks" option.
