CIT's Advanced Applications group designed and distributed the Princeton News Network (PNN) in 1990. In 1993-4, the University consolidated access to University and worldwide information through the use of Gopher. Mosaic (Netscape soon thereafter) and the World Wide Web emerged as the University's standard in 1994.
