I am a 24 year old, second year graduate student at Princeton University.  Before Princeton, I studied philosophy, economics and mathematics at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

My main focus is metaphysics, but saying that often gives people the wrong idea.  I see any question of the form “What is X?” as a question of metaphysics.  Through these glasses, metaphysics isn’t so much a domain within philosophy—the issues of parts, time, causation, laws of nature, ontology...—but an approach to philosophizing.  My friends have told me that my conception of metaphysics is more like the Ancient conception: first philosophy.

Although I have plenty of time to change my mind on the matter, I am leaning toward a dissertation centered roughly around the question: what is truth.

Outside of philosophy I like: yoga, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, Pandora.com, fiction (especially short stores), non-fiction (especially essays), white wine in summer, red wine in winter, single lattes, online TV (especially Lost, The Office and 30 Rock), my new Macbook and running.
