The Journal of Public and International Affairs (JPIA)
is a scholarly journal publishing exceptional work, solely
by graduate students, in the areas of international
relations, development studies, and U.S. domestic policy.
Graduate students from APSIA schools are invited to submit
Public Policy Papers on issues of contemporary
concern. These papers should not exceed 25 pages (250 words
per page, double-spaced) including endnotes and
bibliography. In addition, we are looking for Essays in
op-ed form not exceeding 5 to 6 pages
(250 words per page, double-spaced),
also focusing on current domestic or international
issues and Book Reviews not exceeding 3 to 4 pages
(250 words per page, double-spaced), referring to newly
published books, especially those related to politics/public
policy.
PAPER GUIDELINES/CRITERIA:
Deadline: January 11, 2009
Contributing Editors: Submissions are due to the
Contributing Editor at the authors’ respective APSIA
schools. See the
staff page for a list of all Contributing Editors.
Length: Policy Papers should not exceed 25
pages (250 words per page, double-spaced) including endnotes
and bibliography. Essays should not exceed 6 pages
(250 words per page, double-spaced), Book Reviews
should not exceed 4 pages (250 words per page,
double-spaced).
Submissions must include a short abstract with contact
information. Citations and format of the submissions must
follow the guidelines set forth by the
Chicago Manual of Style.
