GRADUATE STUDENT COLLOQUIUMThis group meets about every six weeks and serves as a forum for the students to get acquainted and to read and discuss their works-in-progress -- a seminar paper, dissertation chapter, or job talk. In addition to using the group as a sounding board for works-in-progress, students also discuss recently published articles and are planning to collaborate on syllabi for a variety of Judaic Studies courses that could be offered in different departments. This year, the Graduate Student Colloquium is excited to host the Graduate Workshop in Judaic Studies. This workshop provides graduate students working in diverse areas of Judaic Studies with a forum to present their current research and receive feedback from their colleagues. Each session features one work-in-progress, and serves as an opportunity for discussion and collaboration between students drawn from a variety of fields and disciplines. All interested graduate students and faculty members are invited to attend. A full schedule for the fall and spring semesters of 2009-2010 can be found below. All workshops take place on Mondays at 4:30pm, in Scheide-Caldwell House Room 203. For more information about the workshop or colloquium, please contact Sarit Kattan Gribetz at skattan@princeton.edu or Eli Sacks at esacks@princeton.edu. Please join us for the first Graduate Workshop in Judaic Studies of the year on September 21 at 4:30pm, "Sacrifice and anti-Jewish Rhetoric in the Gospel of Judas (Iscariot)," presented by Lance Jenott, Department of Religion.
