Ioannis Kamitsos
I am a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in the
Department
of
Electrical Engineering
at
Princeton
University, advised by
Prof.
Mung Chiang. I am affiliated
with the
EDGE lab
and the
Networks
System Group (NSG). My research
focuses on developing (a) optimal energy-conserving control techniques
in
large
scale data centers and DSL broadband access, and (b)
demand/response algorithms for networked data centers and Smart Grid
networks.
In summer of 2010 I interned at the
Standards
and RF Lab,
Samsung
Telecommunications America, Dallas, TX. I worked on
demand/response algorithms for Smart Grid, and in particular I
developed efficient power scheduling algorithm for smart devices in a
Home Area Network. I demonstrated significant cost savings for
different types of consumers, and under various cost profiles, with
different price fluctuations.
