From Tang-Soo-Do system as taught by Denis James Transcribed by Evan Greenberg 11/26/97 Pyung Ahn Sam Dan ("pea" "on" - "sam" "dahn") Step out into west facing cat stance & inner forearm block; step through bringing right foot even with left & double strike (comes from side - lower hand punches to kidney, upper hand strikes to side of neck) right hand high; double strike left hand high. Step out with right foot into west facing cat stance & inner forearm block; step through bringing left foot even with right & double strike left hand high; double strike right hand high. Pull both hands back to right side of waist in fold; step out with left foot into north facing front stance & double block. Step through with right foot into front stance & low reinforced spearhand & kiai. Spin backward to north with left foot into east facing horse stance & left hand hammerfist; step through with right foot into north front stance & punch. Spin to right to face south & cross arms at neck level; raise up on toes and inhale; sink down onto heels & pull hands back to waist (are placed with pinkys down in fists on side with elbows straight out). Outside-inside crescent kick with right foot; on fold back, step out into horse stance facing east & turn to face northeast at waist (swinging elbow around); on release, snap right hand backfist and return. Outside-inside crescent kick with left foot; on fold back, step out into horse stance facing west & turn to face northwest at waist (swinging elbow around); on release, snap left hand backfist and return. Outside-inside crescent kick with rigth foot; on fold back, step out into horse stance facing east & turn to face northeast at waist (swinging elbow around); on release, right hand backfist (remains out). Bring backfist back to fold in front of body (traditional backfist fold) and dynamic tension extend it again. Step through with left foot into south front stance & lunge punch; bring right foot up to meet left and dynamic tension out to right into south facing horse stance. Spin back with left foot into north facing horse stance & elbow with right arm; slide to right & elbow with left arm.
