# MAE 306, Mathematics in Engineering II

Meets 10:30AM-11:50AM, TuTh, in Room D321, E.Q.

Course Outline:
This course is an introduction to partial differential equations (PDE), covering first order as well as the standard second order PDEs of interests in engineering and science. In addition, the beautiful theory of complex variables, which underlies the methodology of Laplace transform and Fourier Transform, will be studied.

There will be weekly homeworks (30%), two mid-terms (20% each), and one final (30%). Homework assignments are posted on Tuesdays each week, and are due before 5:00PM the next Tuesday. There are clearly marked IN and OUT trays for MAE 306 somewhere on the bookcase just outside my office (D302c EQ). Answers to previous week's assignment will be posted below.
