The Charrette Project - Princeton University

Below you see our first attempt a providing a font for the transcriptions. This is a work in progress and we would like comments on everything from the look, size of the font - to the practicality of loading a file this size.

I would like to stress that this represents some preliminary steps of exploration. So far we have finished the filter and created some 20 letters. White boxes indicate as yet unbuilt letters. We are experimenting with various ways of creating the letters. What you see at present are letters taken from the first page of MS G. Fontographer is slowly yielding up its secrets and I hope we will have all the letters scaled correctly with toe on the baseline in a week or two. Click here to see the letters built so far.

I have done a count of all the &xxx; codes in MS G and we would like some volunteers to see which of these can be consolidated. Click here to see the codes in MSG

We hope to hear from you.
