Lawrence Community Neighborly Reminders

Always close entrance doors

Place trash in the dumpsters, and always recycle (look for the bins next to the dumpsters)

Keep building entrance/mailbox areas clear of bikes, children's toys, etc.

Loud music/voices/instruments/cars/appliances can be heard by your neighbors

Never flush paper towels down the toilets

Never walk away and leave anything cooking on the stove

Recycle junk/unwanted mail and other paper in bins provided by the mailboxes (Acceptable items for the paper recycling bins are as follows: brown paper bags, computer paper, cardboard (broken-down), colored paper, envelopes, index cards, inter-office envelopes, junk mail, craft paper, magazines, manila folders, NCR forms, newspaper, pads & forms, pamphlets, paperback books, phone books, and white paper. Unacceptable items include: waxed paper, pizza boxes, paper cups, glass, food, clothing, cans, bottles, cigarettes, wood, Styrofoam, plastic, and foil.)

Return laundry carts to the laundry room

Return vacuum cleaners to the laundry room

Remove your laundry from machines as soon as cycle is over

Return shopping carts to the covered dumpster shed areas after use

Take only your newspaper; look for your name on the label

Always lock your bicycle

Never pour grease down the drain

Always lock your apartment door

Stop at the stop signs and watch for children

Use the BBQs with care and do not use mulch grounds-material as fuel

Residents using computers for academic work have priority over those checking e-mail and browsing the internet

Treat the shared equipment in the Lounge with care (i.e., the piano, kitchen area, chairs, TV/vcr/dvd, tables, toys, etc.)

Leave all furniture and equipment in common spaces in their location

Please include your name, contact information, and date on posted flyers
