Community Outreach

Through its many events, the Center for French Studies particularly aims at gathering, and eventually at creating, a Francophile community in central New Jersey. New programs, such as the Public Lectures Series, have been implemented during the 2004-2005 academic year and are specifically designed to gather members of the francophone and Francophile communities.

The Center for French Studies Outreach Programs expanded by offering a French Theater Workshop under the direction of Florent Masse to 20 adult members of the francophone and Francophile communities. The Community Atelier consisted of 10 workshops scheduled throughout the academic year and delighted its participants who discovered French Theater, and were closely associated to the season of L’ Atelier at Princeton University. New workshops for the community will be scheduled in 2005-2006, and the members of the current Community Atelier are set to present their works during the academic year.
