Film Series

In the past three years, the Department of French and Italian, The Center for French Studies, and the Department of Comparative Literature have sponsored French film series thanks to the support of FACE. FACE (French American Cultural Exchange), previously known as FACSEA, is a generous program designed to help US universities bring contemporary French and francophone films to their campuses by awarding them Tournées grants. Tournées Grants are made possible by the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture (CNC).

Highlights of the French Film Series at Princeton University in the past include screenings of “Les blessures assassines” by Jean-Pierre Denis and “Ceux qui m'aiment prendront le train” by Patrice Chéreau, both proposed in February 2003 during the French Film Festival at the Jimmy Stewart Film Theater of 185 Nassau Street .

Information on this year's French Film Series will be posted soon.
