Upcoming Events LGBA will be organizing a trip with the Center for Jewish Life (CJL) to Beth Simchat Torah, which hosts the world's largest gay and lesbian synagogue on Friday, April 26. (Please note date change). Transportation for the round-trip fare shal l be provided, as will accommodations (through members of BST) for those not wanting to travel on Shabbat or who merely want to have a fun weekend in New York City. The LGBA's annual picnic - always a nice way to cap the year - is coming in early May. Stay posted for more details!

Pride 1996: April 12-22

Enclosed is a flyer with details about the events we have organized. Some events required greater explanation, and are described below:

And Justice For All: "How can heterosexuals become more involved in the gay rights movement?" And Justice For All is a national organization dedicated to raising the visibility of heterosexuals in the LGBT rights movement. A Princeton chapter of this group will allow LGBA allies and other interested students to discuss and act upon the common goal for equality. AJA will hold its first meeting during Pride 1996 on Sunday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in Murray-Dodge. Questions? Contact Kristin <kvfries@phoenix>.

Call for Presenters

The organizers of "Queer Works in Progress II: A colloquium for LGBT Studies" invite all undergraduate and graduate students to present any recent or current project you have worked on related to LGBT Studies. The event, which will be part of Pride 1996, should be a unique opportunity for intimate and comfortable discussion of Queer progress in our little corner of academia. Poetry Reading and Café Nite

Gerry Gomez Pearlberg, editor of The Key to Everything: Classic Lesbian Love Poems (St. Martin's Press, 1995) and The Zenith of Desire: Contemporary Lesbian Poems About Sex, and Michael Lassell, editor of The Name of Love and Eros in Boystown, will join us for a poetry reading on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Murray-Dodge Café. Their reading will be followed by an open mike/coffee house. Peer Education: Recruit, recruit, recruit!

At the end of April, we will be holding information sessions for people who are interested in becoming LGB Peer Educators next year. The program is open to LGB students and allies who would want to raise awareness about LGB issues on campus and who are av ailable to provide one-on-one support. If you are considering becoming a peer educator, stay posted for more information., and contact Jen Handler if you have questions about the program.

Stylin! - As you have probably heard, the LGBA Office and Library in 306/307 Aaron Burr Hall are in the process of being renovated. The renovations should be completed in May, when we receive our new furniture!

Volunteers are needed to participate in a doctoral study entitled, "The Coming-Put Experiences of African-American, Gay Men in College." Gay or bi African-American men between the ages of 18-25 enrolled full or part-time as a university student are encouraged to participate. [Continued on Page 2]
