There will be a Valentine's Day Café on Wednesday night at Murray-Dodge at 9 pm complete with love songs, candlelight, and refreshments. Bring your sweetie or find one there! For more information, call 258-4522.

Being Straight, Gay, and Bi in the Jewish Community: Expectations and Transformations
Religious and communal institutions of the Jewish community have been affected as Jews have come out and staked their claim within the Jewish community. Come hear about the impact of this transformation, where we stand now, and visions of the future. A discussion with Rabbi Elizabeth Bolton. Snacks will be served. February 22, 7:15 pm, Center for Jewish Life.

Alumni Day will include a presentation entitled "Repercussions of Same-Sex Marriages in Hawaii: A Discussion with Evan Wolfson" of the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund. Sponsored by the Fund for Reunion/ Princeton GALA. Saturday, February 24, 4:30pm in Betts Auditorium. Reception to follow.

Princeton is Burning!
Okay, not quite. But Suman Chakraborty '97 has arranged for a screening of "Paris is Burning," the critically acclaimed documentary, to be shown in the Rocky-Mathey theater in honor of Black History Month. More details TBA. LGBA also honors Black History Month with a presentation by filmmaker Isaac Julien (see below).

has assembled an excellent program this year which includes a presentation by acclaimed filmmaker Isaac Julien ("Looking for Langston") who will screen and discuss "The Darker Side of Black" and "The Attendant;" a screening of "Straight for the Money," a documentary about lesbian/bi sex workers; and an ar ray of shorts about bodies, love, life, and death. Announcements

The Office of the Dean of Student Life and University Grounds and Building Maintenance have agreed to help renovate the LGBA Office and Library! The offices will receive new paint, carpeting, lighting, a connecting doorway, and furniture. In order to smoothly make these changes, the offices will be closed for a little while and office hours will be cancelled. If you need anything in the meantime, you can always reach Jen Handler at 258-1353 at 6 New South .
