The LGBA is in the process of starting a creative writing and literary
group to explore gay and lesbian-themed fiction, non-fiction, plays
and poetry. The group will be a supportive space to discuss issues our
community deals with (AIDS, family, r elationships, etc.) using literature
as a springboard for these conversations. Anyone interested in getting
involved or who wants more information should contact Suman Chakraborty
(sumanc@phoenix). Members of the Queer Core, including Ayana Holloway '98 and Cathy Deane '98, are in the process of drafting a Constitution for the LGBA and Queer Core. To take a look at what they've done so far, go to The Online Constitutional Convention, and give your feedback. A new newsgroup for LGBT people at Princeton has been established to facilitate discussion about who we are as a community, and issues that we face. It's called pu.LGBTaP. Check it out! Jen Handler would like to plan a few events this semester specifically geared toward LGB graduate students. Possibilities so far include a dinner/discussion with Prof. Michael Cadden (Program in Theater and Dance), and a Movie Nite at the GC durin g Pride. If you have more ideas, she'd love to hear them!
