Sexual Violence Awareness Month

Every April there's a national observance of sexual violence awareness month. It's a time to make special efforts to give faith and voice to ending interpersonal violence. SHARE's (Sexual Harassment/Assault Advising Resources and Education) b een working on several projects (The Purple Ribbon Project, a Campus Culture Calendar, and House Parties: the Dress Rehearsal) and would love to have your involvement. Also, let SHARE know if you are interested in developing a project related to sexual violence as it relates specifically to the LGB community. Volunteers are needed to participate in a doctoral study entitled, "The Coming-Put Experiences of African-American, Gay Men in College." Gay or bi African-American men between the ages of 18-25 enrolled fu ll or part-time as a university student are encouraged to to participate. Participation involves one interview and one brief, follow-up phone call. A twenty-five dollar stipend will be provided. All inquiries and conversations are strictly confidential. We have been asked to make available a survey of lesbians and body image for a woman doing doctoral research at Rutgers. The surveys are available at 306 Aaron Burr, and can be filled out by lesbian identified students and non-students alike. Your help participating would be appreciated.
