February 1997
Hi everybody. I hope this newsletter finds you all happy and well rested after a much deserved break. There are a lot of events scheduled for this next month, so I hope to see you all around a lot. If you can't muster up the energy to come to anything else, make sure you find the time to relax and socialize a bit at the Community Meeting and the dance. I hope you all have a good month!

Upcoming Events

LGB Task Force meeting with General Counsel: As many of you already know, the LGB task force has been working through Provost Joann Mitchell with the Office of the General Counsel throughout the fall semester to come up with some answers to the legal issues which were raised out of a couple incidents during this past Awareness Week.
This coming Task Force meeting will be visited by Kate Buttol from the Office of the General Counsel who will answer any questions pertaining to the privacy of LGBA events and meetings, open mike sessions and the taping of student events, panels and discussions. I am strongly encouraging those of you who have been concerned about these issues to attend the meeting.

It will be held on February 13th, 4:00 p.m. in the 3rd floor conference room of West College. If you have any specific questions that you would like to ask Kate, please let me know ahead of time as it has been requested that I create a list of expected issues and questions in order for her to be fully prepared to answer them. 'Tis said of love that it sometimes goes, sometimes flies; runs with one, walks gravely with another; turns a third into ice, and sets a fourth in a flame: it wounds one, another it kills: like lightning it begins and ends in the same moment: it makes that fort yield at night which it besieged but in the morning; for there is no force able to resist it.
