Upcoming EventsAwareness Week"Tony Kushner Looks At America" on Monday October 7th, 4:30 p.m. at McCosh 50. Tony Kushner wrote Angels in America, a play for which he got both the Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award. Sounds promising. Co-sponsored by the Center of Jewish Life. As a special note, Albert would like everyone to know that "our first dance was faaaabulous, darlings, and hopefully it's just a taste of things to come! A big wet kiss goes out to everyone who helped put it together (and shame shame on those who didn't come). Party animals, October 12 Saturday is the day to mark your calendars for our Awareness Week bash, to be held at Terrace Flaming Club from 10:30p.m. to 2:30a.m. with the same admission as last time ($4 with PUID, $5 without, free for Terrans). Spread the word to all your friends, Princetonian and otherwise!!" ... that pretty much takes care of the upcoming events of this month watch out for last minute announcements over e-mail from Stephanie... don’t forget that there’s midterms after Awareness Week, then follows Charter Weekend (don’t miss the fireworks, they were fantastic at Reunions!), and the next newsletter will probably be written over Fall Break! (Yay!) [cont.] This time the newsletter was solely and anashamedly written, edited, proofread, designed, laid out and whatever not by Nico Janberg ‘96 *97.5. Things To ConsiderRutgers is planning to have a gay semi-formal and has gotten together with a couple of other college LGB organizations in the area to organize it. The event has tentatively been scheduled for December 5th at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. If you are at all interested, please call Albert at 8-8723 or e-mail him at ahlee@phoenix. And there’s more from Albert Lee, your sweet social chair: him and the social chair of the LGBA at the University of Pennsylvania have been in electronic contact with each other. The lgb people at Peen seem quite interested in having some get-together's this year. If you have any ideas, let Albert know (8-8723; ahlee@phoenix). And if you feel like it, you can check up the Penn LGBA’s web pages at http://dolphin.upenn.edu/~lgba and see what they’re usually up to. One last thing to consider: the new and fantastically re-organized LGBA home page will definitely be up this month. Make a bookmark or link from your very own page to http://www.princeton.edu/~lgba. Happy surfin’. MeetingsCatherine the Great, has B.I.G. ideas for the Bisexual Interest Group. E-mail her at cadeane@phoenix if you are interested in going to New York on Friday of next week to have dinner at a Chinese restaurant where the waiters are beautiful men wearing drag... (sounds exciting :) [Continued on Page 2] |
