LGBA Library - Did you know that the LGBA has a library in 307 Aaron Burr Hall with LGB books, periodicals, videos and senior theses? Yes, its true! But, we really need volunteers to help work in the library. This year we would really lik e to have the newly renovated LGBA space available for all students to use the library, study or just hang out - so please let Michelle know if you are willing to volunteer for a couple of hours per week or even every other week. Its a great way to help out the community!

LGBA/Queer Core Officers

Queer core has thinned out a great deal this year and is in need of officers for several positions. Right now the line up for this year is:

President:Malissa Taylor '97
Peer Education:Christine Jones 'GS
Media Publicity:Nico Janberg 'GS
H.I.M.:Derrick Brown '97

As you can see from this list below, there are still many positions open. Please seriously consider filling one of them. Your particpation is urgently needed!

Awareness/Pride Week - (Most Urgent) Assist coordinator in planning Awareness Week (October 7-12) and Pride Week (Spring).

Treasurer - (Second most urgent!) plans budget for year, monitors LGBA accounts, oversees funds. Good for anyone who likes a lot of power and control...

Co-President - help Malissa give inspiration to the LGBA, work with Michelle and Malissa to plan and coordinate LGBA events.

[cont.]

Convenor - set the agenda for and moderate Queer Core Meetings. (Another good one for people who like power.) Can be same person as co-president!

Social Chair - plans LGBA social events, doh!

Media/Publicity (co-chair) - design flyers, newsletter layout; possibly help coordinate electronic resources and must to be able to stand Nico.

Film Festival Curator - assist Coordinator in co-curating February film festival.

BIG (Bisexual Interest Group) Coordinator - convene group for bi and bi-curious men and women on a weekly or bi-monthly basis; the format is up to you and group!

Please contact Michelle Seldin if you're interested (even just a bit curious) in any of these positions.
