Anna Lutz
Special Assistant to the Director

Anna Paulina Lutz is a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Political Science and certificates in Contemporary European Politics and European Cultural Studies. Her senior thesis, "The Effect of European Supranationalism on the Nation-State," examined the impact of European integration on national identity in France and Germany, with a particular focus on factors contributing to the nascent rise in nationalism and xenophobic sentiment. She spent the spring semester of her junior year studying abroad at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Strasbourg, France. While abroad, Lutz wrote an independent research paper, "Le grand débat sur l'identité nationale franchise: symptom d'un pays en cries," that offered an exploration of the French Debate on National Identity of 2009 and constituted the foundation for her thesis research. An active competitor in the equestrian discipline of dressage, Lutz also enjoys skiing, hiking and playing the piano. She is fluent in French and proficient in German.
