Michael Postl
Former Austrian Ambassador to Iran

Michael Postl is the  Acting Head of the Foreign Ministry of Austria's Western Balkans Unit. From 2006 ­ 2009, Postl served as the Permanent Representative Ambassador from Austria to the Islamic Republic of Iran. From 2001 to 2006, Postl served as the head of delegation for various
international negotiations at the UN and the Council of Europe. He  has also served as Minister Counsellor and DCM of the Austrian Embassies in Dublin and Athens. Postl holds a Ph.D. in international law and speaks English, French, Italian, Spanish and Farsi.
