First Intersessional Meeting of the Special Working Group on the Crime of Aggression
20-23 June 2004
Princeton, New Jersey

On June 20-23, 2004, LISD hosted the first Intersessional Meeting of the Special Working Group on the Crime of Aggression. This was the first time that such a meeting was held outside of Europe. Ambassador Christian Wenaweser, Permanent Representative of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the United Nations, chaired the working group. More than eighty states sent delegations to discuss the crime of aggression and to move forward the drafting of the definition before the next formal meeting of the Working Group in September 2004.
