Subject: Friday Varied Thrush update

For those interested in a Varied Thrush chase over the weekend, the bird was still present at the feeders at 4040 Oak Street in Buena as of 8:30 AM on Friday (today). For the past three days it has shown up more sporadically than on earlier dates, sometimes taking over two hours to appear (particularly when the accipiter is present), though usually still less than that. From mid-morning to mid-day has been a good time most days. But as for tomorrow, who knows!

By the way, to avoid having to move cars every time someone wants to leave, perhaps a few folks might try parking on the street rather than all in the driveway, now that a wee bit of snow has melted. It seems as though cars moving up and down the driveway often scares the bird away in any case.

Please sign the visitor log now set up there, and if the owners appear, please thank them.
