Weekend updates:
On Saturday, 2/12, a gull believed to be a Yellow-legged Gull was added to the remarkable list of gulls reported at Florence, NJ. The NJ and PA Bird Records committees both seek details of rarities from Florence since the site is on the border of the two states.
Neither the Varied Thrush nor the Rufous Hummingbird was reported this weekend, and both are presumed gone. All who visited owe warm thanks to hosts Karen Taylor and Gene Murtha for their hospitality to birders.
A drake Barrow's Goldeneye was at Sandy Hook's Horseshoe Cove on Saturday and Sunday. Located by Nerses Kazanjian on Saturday morning it was also reported by Don Sutherland and Linda Mack.
