Subject: S-t Kite,"Eurasian" Whimbrel,B-n Stilt
This morning, Friday, between 7 and 8 AM, a Swallow-tailed Kite was seen three different times around the Cape May Point area by a number of lucky birders (not me!). It was last seen apparently heading out to sea toward Delaware.... A Mississippi Kite was seen briefly for its second day over the Beanery.
John Danzenbaker called to report two good shorebirds at Brigantine (Forsythe) NWR: a Black-necked Stilt on the West Pool, that was later seen by other birders to be moving around quite a bit so it may not stay. And better yet, John had a "Eurasian" (white-rumped) Whimbrel in with 15 or so regular Whimbrel, first on the north side of the West Pool, but then the group flew south toward the south of the West Pool.
