Swallow-tailed Kite, Rt. 78 near Watchung Reservation, 5/28
A Swallow-tailed Kite was reported to Mike Anderson at Scherman-Hoffman Sanctuaries this afternoon. It was seen at noon and at 2PM today; at both times it was soaring over Interstate 78 between the Glenside Ave. exit and the Berkeley Heights exit (near the Watchung Reservation).
The Black-bellied Whistling Duck seen yesterday at Brigantine had not been relocated this morning by 11 AM (when I left).
