Hi Laurie,
Leif Austad and I were in Cumberland county today.
We had one Golden Plover and one Upland Sandpiper
on the south side of Griers Lane, east of Rt 77, a little before the first house.
The birds were near a grassy strip running through the middle of the plowed
field. We couldn't find the Sandhill Cranes on Friesburg Rd.
Late in the afternoon, at Herbert Rd, [near Assunpink Wildlife Management Area, Monmouth Co.] we had 7 Buff-breasted Sandpipers. They were on the south side of the road, between Rt 539 and Sharon Station Rd, across from the house with the vegetable stand. They were in the grassy area out toward the plowed field to the right of the red barn. Later, they came much closer to the road, where we had incredibly good looks at them.

We went down to South Jersey today.
The SandHill Cranes were still in the soybean field.
The Golden Plovers (12) and Buff-Breasted Sandpipers were at the Johnson
Sod Farm -- on the road off 77 at 5:30pm.
