No sightings have been reported to me since Tuesday, but it is likely that the Cumberland County cranes are still present.
Please note that there is no assumption that the Common Crane is a wild, countable bird. The phenomenon of hybrid cranes possibly colonizing southern New Jersey is sufficiently interesting, I think, and the more people who are looking at them, the more we'll find out. I have tried to pull together all the information I currently have about the cranes, including directions, photos, and history. The web address is http://www.princeton.edu/~llarson/birdimages/crane/cranes.html
Please understand that this page is very much a work in progress and I hope that people with more information will get in touch and help me add to the record.
best,
