Subject: Snowy Owl at Barnegat
I received a call around 10AM this morning (Weds.) from Jim Zamos et al. that there was a Snowy Owl sitting on the north side of Barnegat Inlet. They were on the south side (near the lighthouse), the bird was on the north side (the Island Beach St. Park side), but the bird was nonetheless easy to see.
About ten days ago there was a Little Gull and a couple Harlequin Ducks at Barnegat, but Jim did not mention if they were still present or not.
Farther south in Cape May, there was a brief Western Kingbird on Tuesday, but the 3+ Cave Swallows have not been seen again since Monday morning.
