Subject: Barrow's Goldeneye (?), Yard's Creek, 11/10
I've received a message from Brian Hardiman saying that he and Rick Wiltraut saw a Goldeneye at Yard's Creek again yesterday, Nov. 10, at 2 PM which may be the same one reported Oct. 29. It was with a group of Common Goldeneyes for comparison, and according to Brian, this drake seems to have features that are suggestive of a Common x Barrow's hybrid. It would certainly be interesting to see it, and to have photos for the record. Reach Yard's Creek Reservoir/Pumping station from Blairstown, Warren Co., NJ; follow a sign from Rt. 94 west of the center of town.
