Subject: Thayer's Gulls, etc.
Today, 13 January, at Florence a party studied about 16 Lessers, 11 Icelands, 4 Glaucous, 3 Thayer's (2 ads., 1 1st winter), and "several other unidentifiable oddities. " From Interstate 295 take exit 52, Florence-Columbus Road, and go west. The road becomes Delaware Ave. when you cross Rt. 130. Follow it to the river, curve left, and look for the boat launch parking area on the right. (DeLorme Atlas page 47 D-26)
The Sandhill Crane reappeared Friday 12 Jan. at Veteran's Park, Hamilton, NJ and was seen Saturday 13 Jan. as well by at least two parties. To reach the park, exit Interstate 195 at exit 3, Yardville-Hamilton Square Rd., and go north to the light at Klockner Road. Turn left, go to the light at Hamilton Square Road (Hospital on corner) and turn left again on Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road. The park entrance is ahead on the left just past a Bristol-Myers-Squibb office building. (DeLorme NJ Atlas page 42 M-6)
