NJBIRDS:

After being MISSED by many birders on Sunday, the Cinnamon Teal was BACK on the usual pond to the right of the "entrance kiosk" at Birch Grove Park in Northfield this morning, Monday (John Danzenbaker). As it sometimes does, it walked up on the bank under overhanging vegetation near the upper corner of that pond. Where it was on Sunday is anyone's guess, but there certainly are other ponds there in the park, although assumably these were all checked...

In other news, up to 4 Ross's Geese were in Salem County on Sunday. One of these, or yet another one, was farther to the west of the other birds (around Featherbed Lane, in with a flock of Snows in some fields close to the Delaware River west of Mannington Marsh, possibly off Supawna Road (?). (Single Lesser B-b and Iceland gulls were in this general area as well.) Both the Brewer's and the Yellow-headed Blackbird were seen by some yesterday, but were missed by many. And at least one "Eurasian" G-w Teal continued at Brigantine NWR, as did a Eurasian Wigeon in Cape May.
