Subject: Cave Swallow in Cape May

NJBIRDS:

A Cave Swallow was found this morning (Tuesday) in Cape May. After being first seen briefly over the South Cape May Meadows, it was later refound at mid-day hanging around the Hawkwatch Platform/Bunker Pond area, providing superb views. The flanks are fairly dull colored, so it may well be a southwestern bird, though this is not certain.

Other recent Cape May news includes a slightly early Mississippi Kite on May 5, a Sandwich Tern the same day, and a Ruff and Marbled Godwit a few days ago (exact date uncertain) along Ocean Drive.
