Subject: Mississippi Kite, Sandy Hook
NJBIRDS,
>From Scott Barnes:
Bruce McWhorter just called me to say that he was watching a subadult Mississippi Kite soaring over the Hawkwatch at about 10 a.m. and it seemed to be hanging around. Other birds there today included sixteen species of warbler (Blackburnian, Wilson's and Chat), many tanagers and orioles, and Yellow-throated Vireo.
Let's hope the kite hangs around for the world series tomorrow!
