Subject: Curlew Sandpiper update
Curlew Sandpiper still present:
Today at noon [high tide] I had the Curlew Sandpiper on the spit south of Stone Harbor. It was about 2/3 out to the upright tire with Semi. P Plovers and Western Sandpipers up from the shoreline. It was also with a few Ruddy Turnstones, S.B. Dowitchers, and Sanderlings.
The Curlew Sand. was in partial breeding plumage, with ruddy feathers on the upper belly and lower chest. Be careful there is a Sanderling with ruddy feathers only on the upper chest.
