Subject: Pacific Golden Plover update
NJBIRDS,
The Pacific Golden Plover was still present this morning, 5 Sept, at Johnson's Sod Farm in Deerfield, NJ. Tom Southerland reports that he and others saw it between 8:30 and 9 AM after waiting two hours for it to appear. It was with a Baird's sandpiper, four American Golden Plovers, and a Black-bellied Plover. The birds favored an area of newly-cut sod. The location was the same one reported yesterday, Olivet Road 1/3 mile east of Rt. 77.
