NJBIRDS,
The Wheatear is still present today, Tuesday, in Warren Co. near Hackettstown. This just in:
The Northern Wheatear is sill present at the Liberty Sod Farms as of Tuesday 09/19/01 12:45.
The bird was not out in the field but closer to the sod farm office.æIt new locale is within walking distance from the parking lot.
From the parking lot take the dirt road down to the fields. At the bottom of the embankment make a right and following the power lines. I foundæthe bird near a green house like structure filled with timber. The bird moved from a large log pile, toæthe tops of nearby conifer and ailanthus trees. It offered great looks for about 45 minutes.
