Subject: Cave Swallow in Cape May
The first of what seems to be an annual event occurred today in Cape May with the appearance of a Cave Swallow. It was a fly-by at the hawkwatch (State Park). Given the mild weather, it may be hard to relocate. It is usually easier to find them during more inclement and colder weather, near water, such as at the Hawkwatch, Beanery, or South Cape May Meadows. Such weather seems to be in the offing for a few days starting mid-week.
There were a couple Western Kingbirds seen briefly Fri-Sun. A few more Red Crossbills. Nothing else great.
