Subject: up to 5 Cave Swallows

As many as 5 Cave Swallows were seen today, Wednesday, in the morning in the Cape May area. One flew by SCMM and then the hawkwatch, and then in mid-morning as many as 5 birds were in the Cape May Point area. They did not linger long, however, and it has proven difficult to relocate them as of mid-afternoon. But one or more may well make a repeat performance over the next few days. As many as 50+ Red Crossbills were also fly-bys this morning.
