A Lanner falcon has escaped from a falconer in the area of the Hackensack Meadowlands. Raptor rehabber Chris Brown called me and asked me to spread the word to birders who might see the bird and help relocate it. It is a female, and was wearing jesses and a telemetry antenna when it was last seen. It is about the size of a Peregrine falcon. Reports to Chris at (609) 921- 0921.
