Franklin's Gulls in NJ, update:

From Don Sutherland, Nov. 22 1998:

> At 11:30 this morning (Sunday), Tom Boyle and I found an adult
> Franklin's Gull at South Amboy. It was south of the boat club,
> past the football stadium. It was in the company of 2 Laughing
> Gulls, so it was great to see the comparison. I had looked in
> this same spot on Saturday morning with no luck.

Jim Williams and I did not see any Franklin's Gulls in the area at about 7:30-8 AM, but we later heard from Pete Bacinski that a group from Montclair Bird Club saw one some time Sunday morning, in addition to Don's sighting.

At Sandy Hook, apparently the Painted Bunting has not been relocated.

Thanks to Don Sutherland and Pete Bacinski for help with this alert.
