Lots of news:

1. The Black-tailed Gull was seen again this morning (11 Jan) at Manasquan Inlet, a short distance south of the jetty. The word is to look for it with the Bonaparte's Gulls in the surf, rather than trying to sift through thousands of larger gulls. It was present from sunrise to at least 8:30AM. Documentation photos are sought by the NJBRC for this species.

2. The Townsend's Solitaire continues at Heislerville, in the same location, up to at least noon yesterday (10 Jan).

3. A drake Barrow's Goldeneye was seen Saturday and Sunday (9-10 Jan) on the Raritan Bay side of Sandy Hook. Park at the lot in the median near the Maintenance yard, walk north to the service road through the Holly Forest (don't park there) and walk out to the "bunker." The bird was off this point.

Thanks to Brian Schiefer, Adrian Binns, and Fred Lesser for information! Keep the updates coming.
