Tufted Duck and Townsend's Solitaire updates
I received a phone message yesterday reporting that the Sandy Hook Tufted Duck was still present Monday. Unfortunately the caller's name was unintelligible, but the information is appreciated, especially as the NJ BirdBox voice-mail system has been down.
Bob Barber reports on the Solitaire:
> The Townsend's was seen for a short time around 8:00 AM, and not
> seen again until about 10:00 AM. It was very cooperative at this
> time, siting high on a dead snag, and feeding on cedar berries
> very close to the road, for about 15 minutes.
